The transfer saga involving Franck Ribery looks set to continue. Even though the Frenchman is currently injured, speculations regarding his future are mounting. After ‘careful consideration’, Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has reached a conclusion that Ribery was worth €94 million and he will be allowed to leave if any club match this offer.
Bayern Munich officials Uli Hoenes and Franz Beckenbauer have reiterated that they were not thinking about selling the Frenchman but the player will be allowed to leave if a club pays Bayern the same amount Real paid for Ronaldo.
“All this noise is completely unnecessary. We just want the market price, and if Ronaldo was paid €94 million, then we expect the similar amount for Ribery. If we do not receive that kind of offer, he will stay at Bayern, since he has a contract until 2011”, stated Beckenbauer.
Ribery is set to miss Audi Cup played in Munich due to injury, whereas he is unlikely to recover before the opening match of the season against Hoffenheim.
