Louis van Gaal decided to introduce some unconventional measures at the start of his reign at Bayern and this is unlikely to have a welcoming reception from the players. He has forbidden his players nights out during the entire season even though similar actions made him very unpopular with Barcelona players. Hamit Altintop states that this is meddling in players’ personal lives.
Louis van Gaal has not been very popular with the players wherever he worked so far and he is now doing the same things he did at Barcelona, which is likely to lead into numerous confrontations with his players.
According to ‘Bild’, the Dutch coach has forbidden nights out, while the newspaper also reports that he created a network of snitches, who will report to him should any player disregard the instructions.
The measures are unlikely to have a good reception at ‘FC Hollywood’, as Bayern are often called.
“This is meddling in private life. Who cares where I go and how I spend my free time”, wondered Hamit Altintop and added that the boss didn’t say anything to the players about this ban.
