Lyon have received €35 million for Karim Benzema and club president Jean-Michel Aulas opted to invest the money into new players. His money management skills are well-known and thanks to some shrewd dealings in the transfer market, he managed to sign almost all the targets without spending too much cash. After Lisandro Lopez, Michel Bastos and Aly Cissokho, Les Gones have secured the services of powerful forward Bafetimbi Gomis and have thus completed summer recruitment.
Bafetimbi Gomis hasn’t had the greatest season with Saint Etienne as his team narrowly escaped relegation but he is a player of immense quality and is seen as the perfect partner for Lisandro Lopez in Lyon’s attack. 23-year-old Gomis has already played four games for France national team, scoring two goals in the process and he is regarded as one of the hottest prospect in French football.
