Becks off to Italy!?

David Beckham keeps everyone’s attention wherever he goes. He is the World’s most famous football player and a fashion icon. Together with Posh Spice, he is creating trends and a lot of young people look up to him. But he is still a football player and his career has caused a lot of controversy lately. He gave up playing at the big stage and went to Hollywood, to play football for Los Angeles Galaxy. Now he seems to misses European football and latest reports are suggesting that he will join Milan.

You may wonder why Milan. Can it be that his wife Victoria wants to be closer to Milan’s fashion week or maybe Becks cannot play one more minute in the amateur league such as MLS? It seems that Victoria has a lot of influence on David and she is said to be responsible for his moves to Madrid and later Los Angeles. Maybe this is true, but she is certainly not behind his possible move to Milan. Whatever the people think about Beckham, they simply cannot deny the fact that he is World class footballer and ruthless professional. Even though he is more famous for his looks than his football qualities, he has had a great career at Manchester United and England and maybe he could have even done more. Becks is the sort of player that gives his best in every single game and no one can deny him that.

I am impressed with his long passes and precise crosses and not to mention his guided free-kicks. Still, he has enough technical ability to plays his way out of trouble and he certainly doesn’t lack work rate. This is the sort of player every coach in the World would want in his team and he still has a lot to offer. As soon as people heard about his possible move to Milan, they started tipping him to become the flop like Ronaldo or Vieri. But, these are the players that considered themselves big stars and they skipped training sessions, went partying and stuff. Do you really see David Beckham not giving his best in training? Just remember how Capello dropped him from Real first team when it was evident that he would leave the club. Do you know what happened later? The same Capello brought him back to the team and Beckham repaid him by being one of the key players in helping Real win the title in Spain.

Beckham has started training with Milan and he is expected to join the club on loan. Milan fans should be praying for Becks to stay in the team, as he is the player who can shake things up in Ancelotti’s team and help them challenge for honours this season. I certainly want to see him play at least a couple of more times and even Victoria wouldn’t be too disappointed living in Milan.
