Roma are forced to sell at least one player to compensate for missing out on the Champions League. Spalletti sees De Rossi, Mexes and Juan as indispensable, whereas there are no offers for Perrotta and Brighi. In this situation, Mirko Vucinic is likely to be the player to leave the club, with Manchester United or Tottenham the most likely destinations.
Missing out on the Champions League place left Roma without quite a lot of cash and director Prade sees selling players as the only solution for the poor financial situation. Reports from Italy suggest that Mirko Vucinic will be sacrificed for team’s cause. According to the reports, Spalletti doesn’t want to let De Rossi, Mexes and Juan go, and considering that there are no offers for Brighi and Perrotta, Mirko Vucinic will probably be sold. There have been some speculations regarding De Rossi’s transfer to Real, but that is definitely not going to happen since young midfielder is held in high regard by the fans.
Roma want €22 million for the Montenegrin striker and one of the options is cash plus Roman Pavlychenko offered by Tottenham, but the Italians are waiting for Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in signing Vucinic and there were even claims that Roma had rejected €18 million offer from United.
The Italian club will save a lot of money by selling Vucinic, since he has recently signed a four-year new contract, which entitles him to €4 million per season.
