The Paris Saint-Germain board have removed Charles Villeneuve from his position as president of the club, despite the side beating Sochaux 2-1 on Sunday to remain in touch with the Ligue 1 leaders. The board announced late on Sunday that it had taken the decision to remove Villeneuve – who only took up the position in May last year – following a letter sent to them by the former television journalist.
