What does Arsen Wenger want?

I can’t figure out the point of Wenger’s public displays. The pressure on the club to enable him to compete with Manchester United’s budget or asking fans for the unconditional support in his production of players that eventually leave the club in search for more money?

Are we going to be cruel with the French revolutionary in England? Four years without a trophy is a long time. Unfortunately for Arsenal’s boss, attractive play is not so important and it is not bringing them points either.

You can play attractive on Copacabana on Sunday morning and in lower ranks where the fun is a motivator, both on the pitch and on the stands. We are not sure that the people who come at Emirates, alleged cause of low budget for the transfer market, are paying the ticket to see attractive football. Most of them come eager to celebrate a victory.

“Boring Arsenal” caused grief with their dull play and constant trailing behind Liverpool and Arsenal. Arsen’s “attractive Arsenal” is at the same destination, fourth place and occasional attractive fruitless displays.

Wenger is working for money so the fans have nothing to be thankful for and his fidelity pledges are pure hypocrisy. For example, he could have offered a part of his salary for Flamini to stay in the club, and he can do the same with Adebayor or Sesk Fabregas. This way, it seems comical to ask for respect from the fans, while cashing in millions.

Modern football is not interested in history, as this is the world of instant entertainment. It all comes down to two or three hours, a game, a book, theatre or a movie show. You are worth the money you earned today.

As each Frenchman, Wenger wants to rest on laurels after his revolution, to move in the castle he conquered and ask for the crowd to worship him.

But this is not going to happen, if he moves to Real he will realize the actual way everything works and the epiphany will come at the most important bench of world football. Attractive play goes without saying in Real, which is why no one will bow to Arsen Wenger. But “attractive wins“ also go without saying in Real.

It is a special and unique category, a rare combination, like the hard-working Brazilian or the skilful German with his tricks.

It is not enough to win in Real, ask the English national squad boss, he knows that best.

Perhaps he and Wenger in tandem would be perfect for Real or Arsenal bench. This way, one half is not enough…
