We have written about this Serbian kid a couple of months ago when he was spotted at Old Trafford in the match between Manchester United and Chelsea. Former Red Star Belgrade youngster spent some time at Kerrington on trial, but it looks like Sir Alex decided that he has enough Serbs at disposal with Vidic, Tosic and Ljajic. Some other clubs have been interested to sign one of the best youngsters in Europe in his age, but it looks like his manager asked for too much.
Yesterday he has finally settled. After excellent experience with another Serbian youngster Miralem Sulejmani, Heerenveen decided to try with another prospect from Balkan. Djuricic signed on 4.5 years and will move in January 2010. It is expected that he will work with the first team and not with youth squad, and that was probably the reason why Heerenveen offer won.
Heerenveen fans are hoping that Djuricic can prove himself in the similar way Sulejmani did when he signed from Partizan Belgrade. Just to remind you, Sulejmani was bought for 250k Eur, and only one year later, after scoring 14 goals for his club, he was sold to the mighty Ajax Amsterdam for 16.5M Eur, breaking the Dutch transfer-record. With that kind of scouting it is not odd that Heerenveen is currently 4th in the Dutch Eredivisie, with solid chances for Champions League qualification spot.
At the same time, Heerenveen signed another youngster from Balkan, Macedonian forward Samir Fazli. Fazli is like Djuricic, 17 years old and he already made debut for Macedonia U21 in the game against Montenegro.

“Just to remind you, Sulejmani was bought for 250k Eur”
Partizan didn’t want to sell Sulejmani, Herenven practicly stole him with help of UEFA.
