This boy is really crazy! I know a hundred of players that would kill only to visit Inter training grounds and facilities, let least to have the privilege of training, playing and living with the statures such as Ibrahimovic, Zanetti, Cordoba and others. Still, Adriano, just seems to have a problem appreciating the one in a lifetime opportunity he is given, to play for Italian champions, Inter. And yet, he is given the chance to improve over and over again…
We have seen this many times before. Ever since his arrival from Flamengo in June 2000, this towering striker has problems fitting in Inter squad and showing why he was brought in the first place. He was quickly loaned to Parma and his spell saw him becoming part of one of the most impressive striking duos with Adrian Mutu scoring 22 goals in 36 appearances most of which were from thumping long-shot free kicks.
Board impressed and Adriano returned to the club with an improved contract looked destined to set him shine for the Italian giants. And he did! 2004/2005 season saw him scoring the impressive total of 40 goals in both domestic and international competitions. And just when we all thought that everything is great, his future at Inter began to suffer due to the speculations regarding his work ethic, after he was twice caught partying at nightclubs. Ok, players are under a lot of pressure, at the time he also had some personal issues, and everyone was willing to forget. But it wasn’t all. On February 18, 2007, Adriano skipped a team practice due to a lengthy celebration of his birthday the night before and manager, Roberto Mancini, had no other choice then to bench him for a while. And that was it! Inter owner, Massimo Moratti sent Adriano back to his homeland due to his “poor physical health”. Yeah right! The boy is a fat alcoholic!
New manager, new era, new chance…Mourinho’s arrival meant a new chance for Adriano which this one claimed not to ruin. Disputed Portugal expert is a generous man willing to give his players equal chance but it seems that Mourinho has had it enough and Adriano’s future with Inter is now in real danger. Namely, few days ago, Mourinho’s team was set to hold a training after the defeat by Werder Bremen at 10:30. Adriano did come in time but in no state to practice. All players had a day off after the Champions League match and Adriano used his to get out and get drunk! It is like the more he is encouraged to improve the more he undermines himself. Mourinho seems to like this boys a lot since he has already forgiven the same thing Brazilian did on 28 October after the game with Genoa but we are yet to see his real reaction after the repeated offence. Infuriated Mourinho sent him back home and went on to hold his practice as if nothing had happened. What else was there for him to do!?! I only wish I had seen him steaming and yelling at the “poor” boy. And then people say Mourinho is a bad person. If I were there I would’ve kicked him off the training grounds and transfer-listed him immediately!
Never mind, transfer window is nearly open and I expect that Adriano will be the first one to fly out the club. I just hope that after this everyone will finally realize this boy has a real problem and, as much as a great player he may be, he brought nothing great to the club and it seems he never will…

Adriano in this picture is fake. I think it is being photoshop-ed.
