Having earned big bucks from Kaka’s transfer to Real Madrid, it seems that Milan will invest some of the money to bring Bundesliga hot shot, Edin Dzeko into their fold. Arsenal, Manchester City and the host of other clubs are also interested in signing the excellent Bosnian but it is thought that the player prefers Italian Serie A. Adriano Galliani and sporting director Aredo Brayda have visited the player and his representatives in Sarajevo on Saturday night and they seem to be close to securing the deal.
As the Bosnian media are suggesting, Milan executives Galliani and Brayda visited Sarajevo on Saturday night and the purpose of their visit was the attempt to lure Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko to Milan. The pair have spoken with player’s agent and they were delighted to hear that the striker is interested in the move, thus the club can now begin negotiations with Wolfsburg.
Dzeko will definitely be the star of next transfer window, having enchanted Europe with impressive performances this season, and together with his strike partner Grafite, he was the key to Wolfsburg’s historic Bundesliga success. Arsenal, Manchester City and several other English clubs have already made offers but the player kept saying that he wanted to play for either Milan or Juventus. It seems that his wish will be fulfilled after all.
Dzeko even started negotiations with Wolfsburg regarding the new deal, but as his agent Irfan Redzepagic states, the offer from Milan changes everything.
The striker has enjoyed a remarkable season with Wolfsburg that was capped with Bundesliga title and Dzeko was definitely team’s best player, scoring 26 Bundesliga goals. His outstanding scoring record and versatility makes him one of the best European marksmen at the moment and the player every coach would wish for. Scoring goals with both feet and aerial prowess make him one of the most complete forwards in Europe and no wonder that almost every major team is interested in signing him. As it now stands, Milan are in the pole position at the moment but that will probably change if Wolfsburg receive a bigger offer from one of the interested clubs.
