Zlatan is East and West, North and South; he is a blend of different cultures and influences. In his journal he wrote that he doesn’t have a problem with that, on the contrary he sees that as his advantage. His portrait goes as follows: a guy from the Balkans, born in Sweden, with southern mentality, America and western civilization oriented.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a man of the world. He is on East, West, North, South, his origin, passion for football make him the denizen of the planet. Here is what he wrote in his journal.
I am from north, born in Malmo, where my friends are and I will return there. Sweden is my home. On the other hand I am from South too, a hot-tempered man with the Mediterranean mentality. I like to play big games, like feeling strong emotions and playing in stadiums where all the fans are against you” Zlatan reveals.
His origin draws back from East.
I feel the East of Europe in me; from Bosnian father and Croat mother, like all the people from the Balkans, I am not afraid of challenges, like to discover the world and I never step back” said Inter striker, who might move to Barcelona in the next 24 hours.
Finally he explained why he feels as a Western man.
“That is quite simple, I adore United States, spend my vacations there and I embrace the western civilization; I speak English since a I was a little kid, so I could get to know and apply the western world values” added Ibrahimovic.
He is obviously in a good mood; departure to Barcelona is getting closer and his dream is the Golden Ball, having in mind that he doesn’t stand much chance of achieving anything with Swedish national squad, so the success in Europe on club level is his only chance. It was impossible to do that in Inter, so Catalonia is certainly a step forward in his career.
