Spanish newspaper ‘El Mundo Deportivo’ reports that Barcelona has reached an agreement with the representatives of Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Inter striker is on the verge of joining Camp Nou outfit. However, in order for the transfer to become official, Samuel Eto’o has to give his consent to join Inter, therefore the deal is still far from being completed.
According to the repots, Inter would be entitled to extra €10 million, which is considerably less than €40 million Moratti asked from Joan Laporta at a dinner held last week.
Ibrahimovic is not really known as a loyal player and there is practically nothing that binds him at Inter. The Swedish striker has been saying for quite a while that he would have no problems leaving the club, especially for Barcelona, where he would be much closer to winning the Champions League trophy. Therefore, one part of the deal seems to be completed but the other part can be a bit tricky. Even though Eto’o is likely to leave the club this summer, Inter is definitely not his first choice, while his demands could be a big problem. The Cameroonian striker wants €65 million for a five-year deal and this is certainly more than Moratti is willing to pay.
Samuel Eto’o is again thought to be surplus to the requirements at Camp Nou, despite being integral part of the most successful team in Barcelona history. The striker has already been linked with Manchester City, Liverpool and Marseille but his current club is certainly interested in sending him to Inter and thus using him as a counterweight for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s transfer to Camp Nou.
