The latest reports from Italy suggest that Gaetano D’Agostino is on the verge of joining Juventus. The deal is reported to be worth around €8 million, while Ciro Ferrara, who seems likely to be appointed coach on permanent basis, is the man who was eager to sign Udinese midfielder.
It seems that Juventus have secured the services of yet another great player, after Cannavaro and Diego. As the media in Italy are saying, the Old Lady have reached an agreement with Udinese and excellent midfielder, Gaetano D’Agostino, who was one of the best players in Serie A last season, will join the club from Turin. The player who came through the youth ranks at Roma will win his first cap for the national team on Saturday and he is thought to be the perfect player for Juventus, since his creativity could be just what the Old Lady have been missing during the last few years.
Juventus will pay Udinese €8 million for his services, while youngster Lanzafame will move in the opposite direction as a part of the deal. It is important to point out that Ciro Ferrara was the one who insisted on buying D’Agostino, as that could be the sign that Juventus officials have decided and that Ferrara will continue as the first team boss.
Considering that president Cobolli Gigli stated this morning that Luciano Spalletti was still coach of Roma and that Juventus didn’t want to clash with the Romans by stealing their coach, it seems that the club officials have decided and that Ferrara will keep his place.
