Serbian left-back Aleksandar Kolarov is slowly becoming the star of the transfer window in Italy. Juventus prefer the Lazio player even though he is much more expensive than Dossena and especially Grosso. The plan is to sell some of the fringe players and thus raise the money to bring Kolarov to Turin. The price is €10 million.
Juventus are not giving up on Aleksandar Kolarov. Inter also joined the race, but the Old Lady is desperate to sign a full-back.
Big cleaning is in process. Mellberg has already left, Criscito will be sold, whereas Poulsen is also likely to leave. The plan is to raise enough money to finally realize the transfer for Gaetano D’Agostino and to buy a left-back.
The media reports from Italy suggest that Fabio Grosso would be the least expensive option, but boss Ferrara wants a long-term solution. Liverpool’s Dossena was also a target, but the club officials believe that Aleksandar Kolarov is much better option.
The only problem is that the Lazio player is a lot more expensive than the aforementioned players. According to the reports from Roma, he would be available for 10 million euros.
Nevertheless, Juve are not giving up. The shareholders will have a meeting on Monday and they are expected to approve a bigger transfer budget. The heir of Gianni Agnelli’s empire, John Elkann has already had conversations with club’s board and Kolarov could easily join Juventus very soon.
