Brazilian coach, who is currently employed in Uzbekistan, found some time to give his thoughts on the burning issues in football. Big Phil believes that main reasons behind Ronaldinho’s downfall are the fact that he is overweight and that he’s lost the passion for the beautiful game. The departure of Kaka could help him reclaim his place in the starting line-up but that is unlikely to happen unless Ronaldinho shows considerable improvement.
After several months of silence, it seems that Luis Felipe Scolari is eager to compensate for the time spent in media isolation. The former Chelsea boss is now earning big bucks coaching Uzbek champions Bunyodkor, but it is more than clear that he is far away from the latest course of events in World football. However, it is his statements that are making the headlines lately.
After blaming Ballack, Drogba and Petr Czech for his Chelsea exit, Scolari gave his thoughts on Ronaldinho’s problems. The Brazilian playmaker was key member of Scolari’s World Cup 2002 winning side, but he had a couple of very disappointing seasons at Barcelona and Milan.
“Ronaldinho is overweight, he needs to lose at least five kilos and he has to return to training with a will to win. I hope that he will leave Kaka’s shade now and take the key role at Milan. Before that, he should find the lost passion for football,” stated Scolari.
