He is strong on the pitch, always determined to do the uttermost to help his team win each game, and his creativity always puts his side’s performances on a higher plane. However, it seems his courage and stamina fade away outside the stadium.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, four times a Bundesliga champion is a fantastic player whose brilliance has not been confined to only domestic action. His fantastic plays and fabulous goals helped his country take third place in the 2006 World Cup which only helped him cement his first team place both for Bayern Munich and Germany national team.
These days, rumors about his future are mounting, but Rummenigge insists Bastian belongs to Bayern. As a 14-year-old he joined his current club to become first team regular at the age of 19. This left-midfielder can play equally brilliant on the right and he has a hard shot, great dribbling skills and is a specialist at set-pieces. The Bavarian-born was long hailed a future regular for both his country and Bayern Munich. Fans would love to see him finish his career days with the German celebrated club, but I am sure it won’t happen… his contract expires at the end of the season and there are reportedly several clubs interested in acquiring his services.
Italian giants, Juventus are one of them and Bastian would definitely be a huge boost to their squad. Italian club is trailing behind Inter this season although doing great in Champions League and they would love to see the German midfielder pack his bags for Italy. However, there is a huge problem and we know for sure that Bastian would not sign for Juve. Namely, his girlfriend will not accept a move to Turin since she doesn’t like the lifestyle in this ‘small’ Italian city. You better listen to your woman boy!
- Ok baby, we’ll go where you want, don’t worry…
And now, as much as the offer might be tempting we are sure he will not accept it. As much as he might look rough, Bastian is an obedient boy. Fortunately, the Spanish giants Real Madrid are also in the combination so his girl has nothing to be worried about. Nightlife, architecture, fashion shows…there is plenty to see in the Spanish capital. Since Bastian has already reportedly held talks with Real, we can only conclude the lady likes it there.
This is not the only example of girls making decisions for their boys, deciding on their own about their men’s future (just remember the Beckams), but it would be wiser for Bastian to take some of his strength and stamina outside the pitch and make the right decision. It has often happened that after a move to the new surroundings a player get lost, unable to prove his worth in the right manner and lose his flair ending up just sitting on the subs’ bench watching his teammates play. One of the right things to do might be to stay with Bayern and become one of the greatest German players and the trademark for his current club and country since he definitely posses the enough potential to do so…
