Galatasaray continue to strengthen their squad for next season as the Turkish giants are determined to reclaim the Super Lig title. They managed to sign Brazilian playmaker Elano Blumer from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee and he is club’s fourth big name signing this summer. Elano has been deemed surplus to the requirements at free-spending City and the move to Turkey will be the chance to kick-start his career.
Elano had a great start to his career at City after arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk and he also became a first team regular in Brazil national team. However, his career started taking the wrong turn and he was dropped from the starting line-up at both Brazil and Manchester City. This is a great opportunity for a fresh start and he will add even more quality to Galatasaray creative department, which also boasts Arda Turan and Lincoln.
Elano is club’s fourth big name signing this summer, after Leo Franco, Gokhan Zan and Kader Keita and it seems that new coach Frank Rijkaard will have a great team at his disposal. Cim Bom have had a very disappointing last season and everybody at the club expects to see major improvement this term.
